Our Grand Prize - a trip to the High Arctic!

We are excited to announce that the two Grand Prize Winners will embark on a fantastic photo expedition to Svalbard in early August 2012!

Thanks to the great support from our partner PolarQuest, more than a week of photographing Arctic wildlife and beautiful scenery awaits our winners on board the M/S Quest .

The knowledgeable crew and expedition tour leaders of PolarQuest will make sure Quentin and José Luis will get close to iconic species like polar bears, walrus, arctic fox, seabirds and many more. The natural beauty of summer in Svalbard offers the nature photographer the whole range of subjects to work on - with everything from superwide-angle to telephoto shots - in constant daylight!
We will post their dispatches from the field in our WILDblog .

If you would like to experience the wilderness of Svalbard yourself, there are still a few berths available for each of the three tours to Svalbard this summer led by Wild Wonders of Europe photographers:

1) On board M/S Quest 3-11 June with Maurizio Biancarelli
2) On board Ocean Nova 30 June - 8 July with Magnus Lundgren
3) On board M/S Stockholm 28 June - 8 July with Florian Möllers.

About the Grand Prize
The Grand Prize will be given to the two Overall Winners, chosen by an international jury, in both the Adult and the Young Crew age groups from the monthly competition winners.

Images from their photo expedition will be displayed in special online galleries, the WILDblog and gain further promotion and publicity within the Wild Wonders of Europe project.
