About the Wild Wonders of Europe Online Photo Competition

Prizes worth more than 25.000 EURO attracted photographers from around the world to submit up to 5 images of European nature in two age groups: "Adult" and "The Young Crew" (17 and under). After shortlisting, each month’s best images were eligible for public voting. The monthly winners and runner-ups were awarded Nikon camera kits and binoculars, NikSoftware PRO photo and imaging software bundles, FineArt prints and precious books. The lucky images which scored first place in the months from August 2010 to November 2011 are now competing for the Grand Prize. All winning images can be seen in monthly galleries.

About Svalbard

With wild nature and abundant Arctic wildlife, there are few places that quite measure up to Svalbard. This vast glaciated archipelago is home to wildlife such as polar bears, walruses and whales and during the PolarQuest expeditions the chances of seeing them are very good indeed. Svalbard is a UNESCO World Heritage which underlines the importance of this High Arctic jewel on a global scale.

P.S. There are still a few regular berths available on the trips with Wild Wonders photographers Maurizio Biancarelli, Magnus Lundgren and Florian Möllers! Contact PolarQuest for more information here.

About PolarQuest
