Your Wild Europe

Wild Wonders of Europe

Did you know that 2011 is the "Year of Bats"?

The stunning Highly Commended image of a fishing Daubenton's Bat by Daniel Tuitert tells the story! He used 8 flashes and an infrared triggered camera to stop the beautiful bat in flight whilst sntaching an insect from the water's surface.
Wild Wonders of Europe

Did you ever hear those funny "crex crex" calls seemingly coming out of nowhere, wondering what animal on earth this might be?
Meet the Corncrake!
You can see it up close and personal in the wonderful photo by young Lithuanian photographer Tadas Naujokaitis. And he tells the story why it has become almost extinct in most of Europe. But again, thanks to conservation measures, the species is slowly coming back!

Our sincere congratulations to all photographers and hats off to their awarded images!

The competition is free of charge and we give out 4 prices worth more than 1.500 EURO each month! Sign up and show us your greatest shots from the wild side of Europe!

With best wishes from the Wild Wonders team
