The second Wild Wonders of Europe Outdoor Exhibition was opened on the banks of the Vltava River in Prague's wonderful Old Town on Tuesday, June 22nd.

Rut Bízková (Minister of the Environment), Ladislav Miko (Director of Nature at the European Commission), Václav Mencl (Head of the State Environment Committee), František Krejcí (Director of the Sumava National Park) and Staffan Widstrand (Managing Director of Wild Wonders of Europe) declared the exhibition open accompanied by a wonderful ceremony with horn musicians from the Czech forests playing traditional waldhorn tunes and drummers delivering some powerful rythm! Read more in latest news.

The 100 large format prints will remain on display, day and night, right in front of Prague’s prestigious concert hall, the Rudolfinum, until August 22nd, 2010. And admission is free!

Fab Fact: At almost 700sq km (the size of an average wolf territory in Sweden...) The Czech Republic's Šumava National Park  is often called the “Green Roof of Europe”. After decades of absence due to persecution by man, the park now sees lynx and bears returning to their old realms. Another fine example of Europe's unknown wildlife comeback!
