The opening of the outdoor exhibition in The Hague by Her Royal Highness Princess Irene was a resounding success with over 200 invited guests. The setting, the Grand Hall of Knights, normally used once a year by Queen Beatrix to open the Dutch Parliament. See more..

In her opening speech, Princess Irene urged us all to re-connect with Europe's nature if we are to ensure we protect this unique, shared heritage for the future. WWF Netherlands Director Johan van der Gronden also announced a ground-breaking project, The Wild Europe Field Programme, aimed at re-wilding vast areas of wilderness by utilising abandoned landscapes.

The Exhibition remains in place until 30 August. Admission is free. Come and visit us!
