The opening of the outdoor exhibition in The Hague by Her Royal Highness Princess Irene was a resounding success with over 200 invited guests. The setting, the Grand Hall of Knights, normally used once a year by Queen Beatrix to open the Dutch Parliament. See more..
In her opening speech, Princess Irene urged us all to re-connect with Europe's nature if we are to ensure we protect this unique, shared heritage for the future. WWF Netherlands Director Johan van der Gronden also announced a ground-breaking project, The Wild Europe Field Programme, aimed at re-wilding vast areas of wilderness by utilising abandoned landscapes.

Its all about discovering the Joy of the Wild. Our message is that yes, conservation works! We just need more of it! Our voice, our vote, our daily choices all make a difference. Palazzo Ducale - GenovaWith the opening on June 4 of the indoor exhibition in the Palazzo Ducale, Genova we added the third free exhibition to the tour. It will remain in situ until 20 June and formed part of UNEP's World Environment Day Celebrations on June 5.
The Buzz in Brussels Last week's function in the European Parliament, hosted by MEP Gerben-Jan Gerbrandy was a great success.
