newsnewsnewsWild Wonders of Europe were proud to support the high-profile inauguration event of the UN International Year of Biodiversity in Berlin on Monday, 11 January 2010.

A 14 minute AV show opened the event at Berlin’s famous Natural History Museum, supported by images from the natural heritage of Europe.

The inauguration was attended by leading dignitaries, including German Chancellor, Dr. Angela Merkel, Dr. Norbert Röttgen, the German Minister of the Environment, Achim Steiner, Executive Director of UNEP – UN Environment Program, James Leape, Director General of WWF International and Ahmed Djoghlaf, Executive Director of the CBD (Convention of Biological Diversity) Secretariat.
