The Grand Final

With more than 10,000 pictures submitted since it took off in December 2008, the Wild Wonders of Europe Online Photo Competition now sees two final months to go. In December the winners of the Grand Prize will be selected by a world class jury consisting of top photographers, editors and photo marketing experts.

The Grand Prize

An exclusive photo mission to Alladale estate, Scotland!

Paul Lister, a straightforward conservationist, will open the gates to his huge private estate, Alladale, in the beautiful Scottish Highlands. The Grand Prize winners, one from the adult category and another from our younger entrants, will spend some memorable winter days at Alladale and in Cairngorms National Park with great opportunities to photograph red deer and other highland wildlife. Peter Cairns, Wild Wonders of Europe Financial Director and one of the project’s photographers, will provide personal guidance and heaps of PRO tips in the field.

Furthermore, the Grand Prize will include top-notch photo hardware from leading brands.

Pictures taken during the mission will be put on display in various Wild Wonders of Europe media outlets. They will be seen by millions of people in Europe and the World.

This is YOUR chance! Don’t miss it!
Upload your best images of European nature and wildlife to the Wild Wonders of Europe Online Photo competition. And make sure you stick to the rules! May the best pictures win!

For more information, check the competition pages on our website.

Last month’s competition winners

Congratulations to our July competition winners: Raymond de Smet (Goshawk), Lukas Jonaitis (The Other View of the World), Istvan Krizak (October) and Matthieu Soudet (Glanville Fritillary)! Check out their winning images here:

Think you can beat them? Great! Then upload your best nature photographs from Europe to our competition and win fabulous prizes.

No chance to cheat

We have found that several photographers persist in cheating on the public voting system aiming to raise their scores. We will not tolerate this. We decided against a sign-in procedure for the public voting and we want to keep it that way: easy and friendly for many to enjoy.

This competition is about fair-play and we expect to be able to trust everyone who takes part in the uploading and voting for images. We are already running a black list of people who will not able to participate in any future competitions.  Please, don’t cheat on us and your fellow photographers.

Three more missions carried out!

newsAt the very end of the project we managed to squeeze in two more missions - Kai Jensen from Norway went to Greenland for icebergs and wildlife, and Peter Cairns from Scotland first went to Finland for ospreys and then to Svalbard for polar bears. The total number of pictures is now nearing 170,000…
