15.04.2011   Foto-Festival Wattenmeer live presentation 29. April

Florian will give a live keynote-presentation about Wild Wonders of Europe on Friday, April 29, 19.30 at the cinemacenter in Husum, Germany, as part of the "Foto-Festival Wattenmeer".
Wild Wonders of Europe photographer Sandra Bartocha will present on Saturday, April 30, 14.00, in the "Rittersaal, Schloss Husum".
Workshop with Florian photographing brent geese on Hallig Hooge is booked out.

12.04.2011   The Outdoor Exhibition Goes Copenhagen!

The Wild Wonders of Europe Outdoor Exhibition will be on show in Copenhagen/DK!
The heart of the old city at Nytorv
will see 100 stunning images from 48 countries in Europe that you can enjoy 24/7 from 1 June to 31 July.
Plus, multimedia shows, book sales, information pavillion and more.
Already opening on April 29 at the same spot: an exhibition featuring Denmark's many splendid natural wonders - two events not to be missed!

05.04.2011   February Winners Are Online!

A very tight competition this time - especially among the young photographers! Only 40 points separate Quentin Martinez' winning shot and that of Highly Commended Marton Schaul from Hungary. A Northern Goshawk by Jan Guillaume from France received most votes in the Adult Competition, followed by an action shot of a kestrel attackiing a crow, captured by Csaba Loki (Runner-Up). The public voting is on for our March entries, don't miss it!

07.03.2011   New Winners of our Monthly Photo Competition!

Constant Couteille from France scores places 1 - 4 in the Young Crew category with some more of his fabulous macro shots. Congratulations to him and to Tadas Naujokaitis from Lithuania who is on number five with his portrait of a March tit.
A very nice portrait of a Pygmy owl by Nikolay Staykov, Bulgaria was voted to 1st place in the Adult category. Runner-up is Radoslav Tsvetkov, also from Bulgaria, with an action shot of a long-legged buzzard and a magpie. Places 3-5 feature rutting Red Deer, an explosive jay and a bearded tit in the reeds of Dragoman Marshes, one of Bulgaria's Natura 2000 areas. Congratulations to all winners! And many thanks for everyone engaged in the public voting!

At this time of year trouts are feeding close to the Danish coast to regain strength after the spawning period in fall. See some new images that Martin Falkling took on Bornholm where trouts are migrating up very small creeks to spawn.

07.02.2011   Competition Winners from Russia and France!

Quentin Martinez shows great talent with his shots of amphibians in the Wild Wonders Online Photo Competition! His wonderful sub-surface shot of a frog is the winner in the Young Crew category. Closely behind: Jean de Falandre also from France, with a colourful photo of a Eurasian Linnet. And three more lovely shots from young photographers from France, Hungary and Lithuania!
Among the adults, Igor Barashov from Russia got highest merits for his shot of the gaze of a flying short-eared owl. Congratulations also to the Runner-up, Riccardo Oggioni, from Italy. Highly Commended images come from Finland, Hungary and Spain.

A curious wild cat, fighting Black-tailed Godwits, preening pelicans and other fascinating shots is what mulit-mission-man Laurent Geslin brought back from his trip to Moldova - certainly one of the last white spots on the map of nature photography in Europe! 12.01.2011   Wildlife of the Vatican - check it out!

French photographer Laurent Geslin was granted ten hours of photography in the Vatican gardens in March last year. Here is what he came back with! More new galleries from France by Louis-Marie Preau and Florian Moellers. Each assigned for four days in a city that was among the winners of the French branch of the international competition: "Capital of Biodiversity". Organized by in France by natureparif and steered by DUH (Germany) the competition aims to cast light on biodiversity in our cities. More images can be found in Terre Sauvage magazine, November 2010!

05.01.2011   Great Images Welcome the New Year in Our Online Photo Competition!

It's Constant Couteille again from France who won the Young Crew category in November with a beautiful picture of a praying mantis. Second is another well-kown name: Aleksander Myklebust with his intimate crane picture. G. Soligny scored in the Adult age group with a smashing photo of fighting Arctic terns. Runner-up is Istvan Lichner with a lovely image of a drinking ant. Congratulations to all winners and to the highly commended images on places 3-5!
