Berlin comments

“I've seen the show several times: With school classes, with family and alone. There is always something new to discover and images appeal to kids and adults alike.”
Ursula G. 30.06.2012

“It is my desire to express my sincere thanks for the beautiful exhibition at the central station. I was there yesterday with a friend, we expected a lot, but our expectations were exceeded by far, great photos, very good explanations in English and German, an incredibly hard work , the whole idea of the lighting, we found very good. I'll go there again, even to me to read the English lyrics again in peace. So, congratulations and thanks of two nature lovers who have worked themselves in nature.”

“The show at night is an absolute must for Berlin at the moment! Too bad that it is only to mid-July!”
Marisa D. 27/06/2012

“I thought the whole exhibition was well organized and in a very prominent position well located for full coverage. The way each picture was presented and having the pavilion in the center was well thought of as a central attraction. Exhibition in all, an excellent. I was visiting from England, and recommended the Exhbition - I am really pleased I did not miss it.”

May22

Washingtonplatz
Berlin, Germany
From May 22 - July 27 2012

On 22 May 2012, The United Nations International Day for Biological Diversity, our "Wild Wonders of Europe" outdoor exhibition opened in Berlin.

The exhibition was inaugurated by Mrs Ursula Heinen-Esser, Parliamentary Secretary of State, Bundesministerium für Umwelt, Naturschutz und Reaktorsicherheit (BMU) at Washingtonplatz, right in front of the Hauptbahnhof, one of Europe's largest stations and close to the Reichstag and Kanzleramt. It remained on display here for 10 weeks until 27 July 2012, visited by more than 700,000 people, including 1000 school kids.

Made possible by The Federal Ministry for Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU), the Wild Wonders of Europe exhibition formed the central part of the city’s official UN decade of Biodiversity celebrations.

This year's crucially important UN theme is Marine Biodiversity. In line with that, the exhibition contained many fabulous marine images by some of Europe's leading underwater photographers. (look out for our book "Wild Waters of Europe"” to be published later in the year too!) A special selection of images from Berlin’s impressive urban biodiversity and of Germany’s UNESCO World Heritage Beech Forests was also on display.

The exhibition was open 24 hrs a day, with free admission to all!
