Wild Wonders of Europe commissioned Europe's leading nature photographers to document the rich biodiversity of our continent. This month we are highlighting the work of Markus Varesvuo. Finnish photographer Markus Varesvuo has been fascinated with the natural environment, especially birds, since childhood. He finds that wild bird photography is a never-ending project, and advancements in camera and lens technology continually offer him challenges and new possibilities. For Wild Wonders, Markus travelled to Hungary and Spain. His Hungarian mission focussed on the colourful and charismatic birds of the puszta grassland, while his Spanish mission took him to Extremadura in search of vultures. Best Wishes |
